ANC 1E commissioners and committee chairs will review your responses and may contact you to discuss committee opportunities. Submitting this form does not guarantee appointment as a voting committee member, but all residents are welcome to attend committee meetings and participate in discussions. We ask for your name so we know who is applying, your email address so we can contact you about committee opportunities, and how long you’ve lived in DC to help us appoint voting members who bring a balance of long-standing community knowledge and newer perspectives. Once we receive your data, we will never sell your information or provide it to commercial entities for marketing or solicitation. However, information submitted to ANC 1E may be considered a public record and disclosed under the DC Freedom of Information Act unless an exemption applies. Information may be withheld or redacted when disclosure would constitute a clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.

Why do we need this info?

ANC 1E’s Standard Operating Procedures require committee membership to reflect the Commission area and provide that no single Single Member District may account for more than 35% of a committee’s membership. Your address allows us to confirm that you live within ANC 1E, identify your Single Member District, and help committee leadership maintain balanced representation across the neighborhoods we serve. Your address will be used only for residency and committee-membership administration.
