Commissioner Footer is the Chair of ANC 1E and represents SMD 1E07.
Brian is a third-generation native of the D.C. Metropolitan area and lifelong Democrat. Brian is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community and has been an active member of the Pleasant Plaines, LeDroit Park, and greater Ward 1 community since moving back to DC in 2014, including serving as Chair of the Ward One Democrat and previously as ANC Commissioner in 1B.
By day, Brian is a Healthcare Consultant and works with the Center for Medicaid & Medicare Services (CMS). Brian was fortunate to find his passion in the health and aging space early in his career. Brian has more than 15 years experience working in and for federal, state, and local governments, more than 10 of those focused on helping seniors age in place with dignity and respect.
Brian lives in Atlantic Plumbing with his boyfriend, Derek, and puppy, Gus.
