Hello, I am Commissioner Bobbie Lancaster. I am currently an Instructor for a local Charter School. I have a long history of working with children. This history would start in 2011 when I was a teacher with a local nonprofit academic enrichment program. I worked for them in the summer until 2021. I also worked as a substitute teacher for DCPS from 2019 until the closing of schools due to COVID.
I have an M.A. in English and two undergraduate degrees in Art. I have developed a diverse set of skills from working with my scholars and families that allows me to connect with people from all walks of life.
