As a public body, ANC 1E is committed to transparency and accountability. In accordance with the District of Columbia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and other applicable laws, we provide access to records and recordings of our meetings and official actions.
Under D.C. Code § 2–578, all meetings of public bodies are required to be recorded by electronic means, and these recordings must be preserved for a minimum of five years. If recording is not feasible, detailed minutes must be taken and similarly preserved. Additionally, D.C. Code § 2–532 grants any person the right to inspect and copy public records maintained by public bodies, subject to certain exemptions.
