ABOUT COMMISSIONER PHIL NEWLAND
Phil Newland has been a DC resident for over ten years, the last six of which have been in 1E05. By day, Phil works as Vice President of Communications and Media Relations for a global provider of reinsurance and risk management tools that build resilience.
Through his background and experiences, Phil brings a grounded and practical approach to the issues facing 1E05, which he hopes to help continue to thrive in the years to come.
He lives with his wife, daughter, and son, and can be found going for walks around the McMillan Reservoir, enjoying the neighborhood’s playgrounds, or patronizing 1E’s great restaurants and bars.
